Mr. & Mrs. Lamontagne were so good to my mom. She house clean for them and often watch the kids, now adults. I never forgot there kindness too my mom. My prayers go out to the entire family.

My husband Ed and I met Ovid many years ago at his daughter Helene's home in Carroll County, Maryland. We always had fun at Helene's when Ovid and Jean visited. We were Helens's next door neighbors. To Ovide and the rest of the family. I have the fondest of memories of Dr O at the Club Jolliet. His humor and welcoming spirit to a young professional was very special to me. Losing a parent at anytime is difficult no matter the circumstances and illness.

Dear Jeanne, Ovide, Louise, and family... I was very sad to read of Ovide's passing. I remember well the time we spent together when I was at the Arbors. Man, could he tell a joke! He was such a great contributor to the Mens' Group that we had there. I was impressed by how loving a family that he and Jeanne had then, and I know that those children and grandchildren will bring comfort to her now and in the days to come. God bless you all.

He was such a big part of our childhood -- we spent as much time at the Lamontagne house as our own, and our dads were both an endless source of merriment and mayhem. Rest in peace, dear Mon Oncle Ovide.

This great guy will be missed. I'll always remember his visits to the firm, especially around political events.
Ovide's sense of humor is legendary. He loved showing off his "French" wood stove at Umbagog, with the raised letters "Caution: Hot when lit".
Most of all, he set a great example to his family of charity work and giving back to the community, something we see in all of them today.

Dear Jeanne, how sad for me to read Ovide's obit. The sensation of lost as for my last brother swept over me. You may remember my Dad Omer, my brother Edward were old Doc and young Doc's hunting partners for many years. You and my wife had babies together at old Norte Dame Hospital. Personal to me is his co-founding the Richelieu Club locally with my dearest uncle,Walter Parenteau. I'll always remember his jokes and original phrases; his laugh; the time he pulled out my loose tooth in his kitchen; and how he helped to save my brother's life up at the camp. He never stopped giving, caring and playing! Being able to grow up next door to him, Mrs. Lamontagne and their fabulous children, especially Gisele, was the gift he gave to me.

I never had the chance to meet Dr. Lamontagne, yet know what a good man, father and husband he was through my dear sister-in-law Gisele. He leaves a huge legacy through his very talented and active children, grandchildren, etc. I can see how much better off he left this world.
