Rose Lee Chapple

Rose Lee Chapple died peacefully and quietly on Saturday January 12, 2019, in New Orleans, LA. She was born on October 12, 1931, in Franklinton, LA, to George and Clivie Chapple, the youngest of three children. She was a long-time resident of New Orleans who was a graduate of Washington Parish Training School of Franklinton.
After graduating from high school, she married the late James Curtis Simmons. This union produced 2 children. Rose was a faithful member of Greater Bethlehem-Stranger's Home Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess. She was a long-time employee of both Field's Grocery Store and The Board of Trade.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Clivie Chapple, her 2 sisters, Dora Ruth Stone and Katherine Taylor, 3 nieces and a nephew. She leaves to honor and cherish her memory 2 daughters, Jacqueline Simmons Haney and Gwendolyn Simmons Daniels and 2 grandchildren, Kenya Lee Haney and Gerald Samuel Daniels, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater Bethlehem-Stranger's Home Baptist Church, 3114 Second St. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00 am; Visitation will begin at 9:00 am; Rev.
