Willetta Chevalier passed away on December 24, 2018 at the age of 91 and was preceded in death by her mother, Eddie Lee Jacobs; father, Fletcher Cash; brother, Gillespie Cash and the father of her children, George Chevalier. She is survived by her three daughters, Jennifer Sutton (Bob) of High Springs, FL; Georganne Chevalier of Port Orange, FL and Rene Chevalier of Brentwood, TN; four grandchildren, David Sutton of High Springs, FL; Amanda Beckler (Mitch) of High Springs, FL; DeVan Ard, III of Charlottesville, VA and Andy Ard (Kristina) of Irvine, CA. Willetta also had five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a beloved brother, Paul Jacobs (Delores) and a sister-in-law, Hazel Cash, of Birmingham, AL; as well as nieces and nephews that include Jeanine Payne (Tommy), Michael Jacobs (Leah) both of Birmingham, AL, and Ervin Cash (Fran) of Santa Barbara, CA. Willetta had a professional career of court reporting in Birmingham and enjoyed being a full-time grandparent when she relocated to Tennessee in 2001. She will be remembered for her adoring smile, endearing eyes, kind nature, and generous heart. Her joy in life was centered around her family and the worship of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her places of worship included both First Church of the Nazarene in Birmingham and Brentwood Baptist Church. The family will hold a private service to celebrate Willetta's life when they gather in Birmingham this spring. I am sorry to hear about the passing of Willetta. I met her back in the '70's when she was working with Jackson Shores. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful smile. My prayers her with her family.
