Margaret Pettinato
Pearl River - Pearl River,NY Margaret Pettinato, age 99, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 24, 2019. Born and raised in Spring Valley, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Hlipala. She was married for 62 years to her husband Frank, who predeceased her in 2000. Together they owned and operated the K&S Dress company in Spring Valley. Margaret was an active member of Catholic Daughters, and many of the area senior clubs. She loved to entertain friends and family, enjoyed cooking and baking, trips to Atlantic City, and above all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Marge is survived by her son Richard (Patricia) of Fort Myers, Fla. and San Diego, CA., daughter Donna Hamilton of Scarsdale, NY, sister Joan Grillone of Suffern, NY grandchildren Lindsay Hamilton of New York, NY, Kevin Hamilton of White Plains, NY, numerous nieces and nephews, and devoted caretaker and companion, Cynthia Boakye. Sister of the late Nicholas Hlipala, Helene Piccione, Anne Caccavale and John Hlipala.
Visitation wil be on Monday, January 28th from 3pm to 7pm at the Sorce Assumma & Shankey Funeral Home, 34 N. Summit St. Pearl River, NY 10965 (845) 735-4849 www.sorceassummashankeyfh.com
A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, January 29th at 10AM at St. Anthony's Parish Church 36 West Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954. Burial to immediately follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956
