Lenny Alvin Kauffmann

Burial for Lenny will be Saturday, June 15th at 11:00 AM at Rosehill Cemetery in Wells. Military Honors will be accorded by the Wells Color Guard. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family. Lenny Kauffmann, age 57 of Wells, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, MN with Pastor Mary Iverson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Homes in Wells. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the Church on Friday. Lenny was born March 11, 1961 the son of Patricia (McLain) and Gene Kauffmann in Wells, MN. Lenny had enlisted into the United States Marines. Lenny was married to Natalie Babcock and to this union one son Jordan was born, the couple later divorced. Lenny married Shawnna Dermer and to this union 3 children were born, Kristy, Joshwa and Karl. The couple later divorced. Lenny married Susan Olson and brought 2 children into his life: Alysha and Dustin Van Fleet. Lenny worked as an over the road trucker all his adult life. He retired from trucking due to health reasons. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and hunting. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball. Lenny was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. He is survived by his father, Gene Kauffmann (Kathy Schulz) of Wells, daughters: Kristy (Mike) Koprowicz of Cannon Falls, MN, Mindy (Scot) Christenson of Albert Lea, MN; sons: Jordan (Mel) Bruegger of South Dakota, Karl Kauffmann of Mankato, MN; sister: Faith Kauffmann of Wells, MN; brother: Randy (Jena) Kauffmann of Minnesota Lake, MN; step-father, Kenny Stenzel of Wells, MN; stepbrother Mike (Becky) Stenzel of Austin, MN; 10 Grandchildren; along with several aunts and uncles and their families; Great Aunt: Millie Sailor of Wells, MN; and several cousins and their families. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Harvey and Evie McClain, Vern and Norma Kauffmann; mother Patricia (3/4/17) and son Joshwa Kauffmann (6/25/17), half-sister Jamie Kauffmann (10/26/1995), aunt, Linda Niebuhr (8/19/2017).
