age 90, passed away February 28, 2019. Beloved husband of Georgia, his wife of 65 years. Preceded in death by parents Wallace and Leota Scripter Elkins; brothers Eugene, Keith; sisters Ruby, Evelyn, Bonnie; foster brother Cline Bates; daughters Karen Jo, Nelda and Lorena. Survived by wife Georgia, daughters Tina (Shawn Godwin), Gail (Mitchell Brown); grandsons Duncan Godwin, Jesse Brown; brothers Paul, Edward, Christopher, sister Lorena, foster brother Loren Bates; numerous nieces and nephews. Born Jan. 21, 1929 Sheridan, WV. Graduated Guyan Valley HS 1946, enlisted in the Air Force in 1948. Stationed in Japan, Special Services Athletic Division until 1952. Member VFW Post 703. Married Georgia Toney of Maxine, WV in 1953, settled in Cleveland, OH. Worked for Republic Steel-LTV, 39 years, retired 1993. Member Steelworkers Union, Local 2265 and Steelworker's Organization of Active Retirees. Lived in Parma, OH since 1978. Will be remembered as hard working, good humored and a great storyteller.
