I will always remember his voice. That calm sense of reassurance that let you know he was there if you needed him and loved you. I can still hear in my head "My Buddy, Little buddy". Because of that I use buddy to refer to my friends to this day. Lots of love for this man. May have been a Step Grandpa, but I never thought of the Step part. Rest in peace Granpda Charles.

So sad to hear this news. We had the gift of having Charles in our lives for many years. There wasn't another one like him. Such a gentle man - full of life, wit and humor. I so admired the love he shared with Betty. It was so complete. I know he is truly happy and smiling while holding Betty now. Loved you so much, Charles.
Nick, Bonnie and family --- You have our sincere sympathy. Thanks for sharing him with us.

Bonnie and family, So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. It was a great man and I remember him fondly from my visits to Johnson's grocery store. Great memories of your dad will hopefully heal this time of sorrow. May God Bless!
