Cayce S. Kiger, 85, of Milan, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at home with his loving family by his side.
He was born on September 11, 1933, in Nashville, Tennessee to Homer and Elle (Earp) Kiger. On March 5, 1955, he married Ruth Ann Naugle at the London United Methodist Church, Milan and she preceded him in death on February 3, 1987.
Farming was Cayce's life work and passion. His love and dedication for farming was inherited by his children and grandchildren, who continue to farm and carry on his legacy. He also developed K C Campground and operated it until the mid-1990s. In his later years he enjoyed the challenge of working with mules.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Janice Kiger, Brian and Joyce Kiger all of Milan, eight grandchildren: Jeremy (Megan), Roxanne, Chad (Suzi), Heather, Kurt, Tricia (Dan), Daryl (Danielle), and Kenneth, nine great grandchildren, his loving companion Sandy Moss and her children: Anthony, Tammy (Bill), and Teri (Russ).
Besides his wife, Ruth, he was also preceded in death by his son, Dale, infant son, Larry, granddaughter, Mallory Kiger, three brothers, Robert, Thomas and Joseph, three sisters, Emma Pearl, Vera Mae, and Louise.
Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Sunday and Monday from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12th, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Vincent VanDoan officiating. Burial will follow at Marble Park Cemetery in Milan.
