After several years,, I can now express the loss of my brother. He was a good man and a good teacher of tennis and of life. He was truly a good person and had nothing but good things to say about everyone. I know that he was in pain for the last 5 years of his life. His spine wasnt meant for 30 years of teaching tennis, every day. He was a good person and left two wonderful children behind. I wish the world was filled of people like my brother , it would be a better place.

Three generations of my family benefited from Coach Bill's tennis knowledge and friendly, caring nature. My father was looked after as he continued his tennis through his advanced years, I received great guidance from him as a coach and my grandchildren received the best lessons ever as they started playing tennis. Rest in peace, Coach.

I knew Bill as both a tennis coach and friend for the many years he was in Owensboro. He had a great sense of humor that made our Monday morning drills such fun. He left us far too soon and he will be so missed by all those who knew him. My heart goes out to Rachel, William, his parents and siblings and to grandsons Bear and Tyler who Bill so adored - he had pictures and stories to tell us of them every Monday morning.

I will never step onto a tennis court and not think of Bill. He was an excellent tennis instructor and more than that a joy to be around. He always made us laugh and we could hear him laughing from any location at the club! I will miss him dearly. I am honored and blessed to have known Bill. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
