Gerard T. "Jerry" Crane

Gerard T. Crane "Jerry", 77 of Philadelphia passed away on March 25, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Carol DiOrio Crane. Loving father of Gina M. Matyok (Gary) and Michael G. Crane (Dawn). Grandfather of Erica, Gary and Brianna. Great grandfather of Stephen, Ava and Liam. Loving companion of Barbara Duffin. Also survived by one sibling Sister Jean Crane and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Jerry enjoyed first and foremost spreading his faith and the word of God with others. He loved his time on the Phila Fire department and made many brothers there. He was an avid horseback rider and loved being in nature whether by himself or with family/friends. He enjoyed going to and watching boxing matches and rodeos. He was the most social person and would talk to anyone and everyone he could and made friends anywhere he went. He enjoyed helping people. Whether he just met you or you were a lifelong friend, if you needed help he was there. He was definitely a "Glass half full" type of guy and could always find the positive in ANY situation. Words can't express how we will miss him now that he has "Changed his address" as he used to say when someone passed. Relatives and friends are invited to Jerry's Funeral Saturday March 30th at Davisville Church, 325 Street Rd, Southampton, PA 18966. Where family will receive friends at 12pm service to start at 1pm.
