Lorenzo lives on in the work he started here on earth--justice, kindness, workers' rights, and in simply passing on a smile to another person (it will never be as good as his!)

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs. Crowell and their daughter. He was not just a customer at the pharmacy but a friend and mentor to so many of us. He was always professional, positive, inspiring, passionate and caring about others. He stood up and make sure all of our voices and concerns we heard and acknowledged. We have lost a great one..

One of the great blessings of my life was meeting, learning to love, and learning from Lorenzo Crowell. A compassionate and dedicated son of Gary's African American working class, Lorenzo lived every day of his professional and personal life to help workers learn how to fight for social justice and participatory democracy. Believing that an injustice to one is an injustice to all, Lorenzo walked lovingly and unassumingly among us. He served others tirelessly, inspiring us all to let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

Resolution
To the Family of Lorenzo "Bubba, Crow" Crowell Jr.
Dear Charlene and Family:
We the classmates, officers, friends and members of the Roosevelt High School Class of 1967 pen this resolution and desire to place on record, that it is with deep sadness and a sense of great loss that we gather to express our grief and deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Family, no matter what your trials are, or how big your mountain seems; The Lord is there to see you through; so if your cross seems hard to bear, and you know not what to do; the One who loves you most of all will be there to see you through.
BE IT RESOLVED, that our hearts go out to Lorenzo's immediate family, siblings and other relatives and friends during this time of bereavement; words can never fully express how much a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle means to us, but our language can still provide comfort, solace, hope and even inspiration.
WHEREAS, we believe that the homegoing of Lorenzo again emphasizes that none is superior to the last call, which is common to all beings; remember that death is only the end of the physical life and the beginning of eternal life. Your beloved brother and our friend, has fallen in life's battle, and yielded to a VICTORY that no one can resist and entered upon a complete rest. How carefully then should we live, knowing that someday, we too, must pay the debt that Lorenzo has paid. We believe the words of Jesus in John 14 that encourages us to Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we commend the soul of Mr. Lorenzo "Bubba, Crow" Crowell, Jr. to the Panther Den eternal and a copy of this resolution be given to the family and a copy be kept in our archives.
Humbly submitted this 17th day of May, 2019
