Spencer Norman Miller
Founding member of Miller & Galdieri law firm in Jersey City
Spencer Norman Miller, 82, of New York City, N.Y., died Sunday morning, May 19, 2019, at his home. Born Dec. 5, 1936, in Jersey City, N.J., he was the son of the late Samuel David Miller and Gertrude (Oppenheim) Miller.
Spencer, a founding member of the Jersey City law firm Miller & Galdieri in 1972, practiced law for more than 57 years. A proud graduate of Columbia University (AB, Class of 1958) and Syracuse University College of Law (JD, Class of 1962), Spencer was admitted to the bars of New York in 1962 and New Jersey in 1963. Miller & Galdieri was extremely proud of its long-time representation of the Jersey City Housing Authority, Hoboken Housing Authority, Jersey City Employment and Training Program, Inc., and City of Jersey City.
He is survived by his loving sister, Marilyn (Miller) Bobrow of Madison, N.J.; his niece, Amy Steinberg (husband Ira) of North Caldwell, N.J.; nephew, Scott Bobrow (wife Cheryl) of Parkland, Fla., and other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private ceremony and burial were held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Spencer's memory to Columbia University's - Columbia College (CC) Unrestricted College Fund at givenow.columbia.edu.
