Charles Laquidara

ANDOVER - Charles (Charlie) Laquidara, of Andover, died peacefully at age 92 at the VA Hospice Unit in Bedford, MA. He was born and raised in Boston, MA, and was the eldest son of Carmelo Laquidara and Antoinetta (LaMacchia) Laquidara of Sicily, Italy. They had 7 children, including the late Josephine (Laquidara) Viveiros, the late John (Jackie) Laquidara, William Laquidara of Franklin, MA, Angela (Laquidara) Viecelli of Westwood, MA, Thomas Laquidara of North Reading, and Ann Marie (Laquidara Vitale) of Canton, MA. Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and served in the Army Air Corps as a Tech Sergeant and airplane mechanic on B25 aircraft. Charlie owned and operated a plumbing, heating, and general contracting business for many years prior to his retirement. He will be remembered as a devoted son, brother and friend who always would lend a helping hand to others and often had a funny story or joke to tell. He was a loving and devoted husband and father to his two children. Charles was pre-deceased by his wife, Joan (Spinney) Laquidara and his son, John M. Laquidara. His daughter, Debra J. Laquidara, survives him, as do his sisters-in-law Jean (Spinney) LaRocque of Wilmington, NC, Anne Laquidara of North Reading, and brother-in-law Dennis Vitale, of Canton.
