George WM Dower

George WM Dower, age 84, of Newark, DE passed away June 16, 2019. He was born May 24, 1935 in Shenandoah, PA to the late George William Dower, Jr. and Katherine Dower (Whelan). George was a Fleet Service Representative for U.S. Airways for 31 years and very well respected. He loved fishing and travelling. George and his wife owned a 40 foot RV and traveled 20 years during retirement. Their favorite trip together was to Alaska for three months. George was a member of the U.S. Air RV Club. The members of the club became his second family. George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patty L. Dower of Newark, DE; daughter, Wendy Schmid and her husband Bob of Newark, DE; son, David Dower and his wife Karen of Townsend, DE; son, Gary Dower and his wife Deanna of Newport, DE; grandchildren, Bobby, Lindsay, David, Joshua, and Casey; great-grandchildren, Ellis and Matilda; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved cat, Baby. Services for George WM Dower will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to "Make-A-Wish Foundation" and send in care of R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
