Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Juanita Bigelow Willis will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 1:00pm from the sanctuary of Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The family will greet friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 7-8pm and all other times they will be at 5326 Ian Dr., McLeansville. Interment will follow the services in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 1-9pm.
She was born in Caswell County to William Pink Bigelow "Bud" and Rosetta Chambers Bigelow and was married to Leroy Willis. She was a member of Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was the musician for over 60 years as well many other various committees and was a licensed beautician for 55 years.
She is survived by her two sons: Timothy L. Willis (Beverly) and Tyrone Willis (Darlene); two special daughters: Patricia Bigelow (Garry) and Dorene Dixon (Lester); 5 grandchildren: Brittany W. Allen (Brandon), Tyler Willis, Bianca Willis, Tykia Willis and Jasmine Dixon and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by all her siblings: Clair Bigelow, Otis Bigelow, Lorenzo Bigelow "Shad", Herlen Bigelow "Doll", Jacob Bigelow "JC", Warnester Bigelow "Net", Theora Bigelow Williamson, Thelma Louise Bigelow, Connie Bigelow McLendon.
