To Tiffany and family, A loss of a parent is always tough especially after the second one. It is like removing an anchor in life from where and who you came from and having to take over the new responsibility of carrying the torch as a matriarch for your children and your future children's children to come. It makes you realize how short and fleeting life can be even though she was ever so fortunate being blessed to have lived such a long one. Your mother was a very sweet and gentle lady. You are fortunate that your children had a grandparent to know and love. Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to you and your family. She is not gone, not forgotten, just away for now. Keep your memories of her alive in your soul and she will always be with you. May you find peace and comfort during this stressful time in your life with family and friends who care and may she rest in peace to be with God in paradise and all his glory. Peace. The Hallenbergs

My heart aches for the loss of my friend, Toni. Our faith tells me that she is now in true happiness with our Lord and all her loved ones in heaven but I will still miss my friend and I still grieve her passing which shocked me when I heard this news today. Toni has been a joy in my life and she always said that she had a bedroom in her home to which I could stay when I visited Glenview. Toni had an active life at St. Catherine Laboure Parish and even though she was my neighbor, I played bridge with her, I worked bingo with her, attended social events with her, shared our birthdays and Christmas dinners with our little group of friends, the thing I am most proud of her for was that she was willing and was dedicated to serving our parish as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion. I truly enjoyed the last batch of Christmas cookies she made for me and will always remember her for her kindness as my eyes well-up with tears as I now think of her with love.
