Cheryl and I remember Bill and Ruby and their genuine lovingkindness to the stranger and the strange. We were YANKEES stationed at Sewart and found our acquaintance with this family when we arrived at Woodbine Church. Ruby was a great cook and I was often invited to their home to eat and fellowship. This friendship and family feeling continued through the years especially when we reconnected during visits to Christ Church. Precious friends which we often think of. Thank you Janice and Laurie for sharing your parents with us. Tom and Cheryl Clark Columbus, Ohio

Dear Ruby and Family,
We just wanted you to know we truly appreciated the love that Bill and you showed us while we lived in Nashville. Heaven had a big happy party when Bill arrived home, just remember that he got there only a short time before us. Jesus is coming soon and we'll all be together again. May your sweet precious memories and the joy of Jesus give you comfort during these days of change. God our Father sent Jesus to die so that we could have the Holy Spirit with us all the time and He's holding you close now! May God's peace, joy and Love be with you always, I love you Ruby

Some of our earliest memories of Nashville from the spring of 1964 was the warm hospitality of Bill and Ruby. I was a single airman stationed at Sewart AFB. Bill and Ruby often took me into their house and fed me good food and the entertainment was two wonderful young girls. What a great loving couple and family. Ruby was and is a jewel and Bill was one that we always looked for and asked about when Cheryl and I would return for visits. Their smiles were infectious and rewarding. We wish we could be present to honor this family. Tom and Cheryl Clark
