Barbara J (Parisi) Schepper, 84, was accepted to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, after an extended illness. Barb was born April 19, 1935 in Anderson, where she resided all her life. Barb graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended Indiana Business College. She started her career working as league record secretary at Coopers Sport Bowl for 34 years, retiring in 2015. Barb enjoyed bowling and was secretary/treasurer of The Gutterdusters League for many years. In her younger years, Barb was a pink lady volunteer. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. Barb loved her pets throughout her life. Dogs she shared life with were Moppy and Coco. Cats that gave her happiness were Gray and Sissy. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Mary (Perry) Parisi and Fred Parisi, founders and owners of the famous, former Golden Crust Doughnut Shop of Anderson. Also preceded was her husband of 58 years, Roland Schepper, sister Angela (Parisi) Young and niece Sharon (Young) Edwards. Barb is survived by her two sons, Barry wife (Angela) Schepper of New Pal and Jeff wife (Julie) Schepper of Greenwood. Grandson Justin (Nikki Bloom) Schepper of Greenwood, brother Leonard Parisi of Indianapolis, nephews Kenny Young (partner Jeff Marsh), Hagerstown, Fred Young of Anderson and niece Mary Young (Hihram Williams) of LA. Special friends Sonya McCain, Cindy Ormes and Vic Reynolds. Barb is also survived by two great nephews, Michael (Indianapolis) and Brian Edwards (Wisconsin) as well as 5 great, great nieces and nephews, A special thanks to Kindred Hospice for its organization and their thoughtfulness. Also a big thank you to Fresenius Kidney Care Dialysis Center of Anderson for overseeing Barb's procedures for over 13 years. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the APL (Animal Protection League) of Anderson.
