Francisco Hernan Cortes Bedoya
Hard working husband, father and grandfather
Francisco Hernan Cortes Bedoya, 85, of Verona, N.J., passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at Hackensack UMC Mountainside.
Francisco was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. He came to the United States on Sept. 24, 1982, settling in Orange, N.J. He also lived in West Orange , N.J.,before moving to Verona in 1996. Francisco was a hard working man who was self-employed in sales for many years before retiring.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Alfonso and Ruben; his sisters, Helena, Enmita, and Myriam, and his grandson, Ramiro Aguilar. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Martha (nee Orbe); his children, Maria Reinoso and husband, Carlos, Lucy Garcia and husband, Edward, Francisco and fiancee, Indiana, Fabian and wife, Ingrid, Veronia Cortes, Carlos and wife, Gaby, Roxana Cortes, and Martha Helena Conte and husband, Dan; his sister, Victoria Cortes; his grandchildren, Cynthia Wrobel and husband, Justin, Vanessa Amaya and husband, Luis, Alexis and fiance, Evan, Eddie, Amy, Timmy, Fabian, Camila, Isabella, Domenic, Anthony and Luca; and his great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Jagger Wrobel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11 at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell, N.J. Entombment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Rd., Parsippany (973) 887-3235.
