Booie and the neighborhood gang played many a street softball game and kicked many cans on Rogers Court/Oak Crest. It was a classic childhood. I have forever looked up to him and I wish I could bid him a fond farewell.

Attended high school with Judge Drew. I was a year older but we came to know each other and spent many non-school hours together with other friends.
He was a wonderful guy--sincere, thoughtful, kind. It came as no surprise to me when I learned years later after high school graduation, that he had obtained a law degree and became a judge.
Sympathies,

"Booie"(highschool nickname) and I go back to highschool days....good guy..always friendly..helpful..ran into him many years later while he was an attorney and I a police officer...even had a few cases before the bench while he was the presiding judge..always a very knowledgeable jurist who was fair and impartial...this earth is a much lesser place without Bernard in it..R.I.P. Booie..
