Virginia M. Fairfield

Virginia M. Fairfield, 94, of Wakefield, died on Thursday, November 7 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center. Born in Wakefield on August 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Althea (Packer) Eldredge. Mrs. Fairfield was raised in North Reading and lived her whole marriage life in Wakefield. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Mrs. Fairfield was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Church in North Reading. She cherished her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Fairfield was the wife of the late Earle R. Fairfield. She was the mother of Jeanne McEachern and her late husband Robert of Mulberry, Florida, Allen J. Fairfield of Wakefield, and Stephen R. Fairfield and his wife Janet of Wakefield and their daughter Suzanne Fairfield. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Wanda Fairfield of Stoneham as well as many grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, the late Clifford M. Fairfield and her eight siblings. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday from 4-7pm followed by a Funeral Service at 7pm. Interment will be private.
