Amparo Garcia
Vado - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, AMPARO GARCIA, age 68, of Vado passed from this life on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 16, 1951 in Santa Maria Del Oro, Durango, Mexico to Jose Avitia and Maria Concepcion Rivera. Mrs. Garcia was a maintenance worker and a member of the Catholic Church.
Those left to mourn her passing include her husband, Armando R. Garcia of the family home; a son, Armando Garcia (Rosario) of Vado; two brothers, Luis Avitia of Dallas, TX and Jesus Avitia of Santa Maria Del Oro, Durango, MX; six sisters, Lucina Flores of Milliken, CO, Marcelina Alvarado and Socorro Avitia both of Gilcrest, CO, Belen Navarrete and Luz Mota both of Vado, and Mercedes Quiñones of Lucerne, CO. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Ariana Gegenheimer, David Armando, Alan and Miguel Angel Garcia. She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation for Mrs. Garcia will begin at 6 PM Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in San Pedro Del Cerro Mission, 137 Lomas Avenue in Del Cerro where Recitation of the Holy Rosary is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 2:30 PM in the same church. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in San Jose Cemetery in La Mesa where she will be laid to rest.
