Alice and family , I just today learned of Don's death.I hope he left peacefully with no pain. I worked for Don and Jack for nearly 21 years, Don took a chance on me when I was offered a position at Frost-Watson in October of 1986 and later asked me to transition into working for their Redwood Sales Company. I last talked to Don 4 or 5 years ago, although nearly 8 years had passed since we had last talked the conversation was as comfortable as if we had just spoken days before. I believe I have lost a friend though he was in fact my employer. He would visit the Redwood Sales facility about once a month to sit with me for an hour or so, his conversation would always start with the inquiry "How's your bride?" then he would ask to borrow my pocket knife to trim a nail or push back a cuticle, while he tended to his hands we'd talk about the business. Our parting was always the same , he'd close the knife, hand it back to me and say thanks Mike "keep the faith".
I always have.
God be with him he was a fine man.

February 20, 2020 My deepest sympathy to the Plump Family. The years Holland Enterprises, Inc. worked with the Frost Watson business and will be something I always remember. So many of our subcontractors have passed on. It is so sad to see this era gone. We will always have fond memories of Don and all of the staff at Frost Watson. I know one of the events of the year my dad always looked forward to was the duck shoot. I am so sorry I was not at the funeral, but I just found out today that Don has passed. Much sympathy, Bonnie Schrenk Stellwagon

To the Plump family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of Donald Plump. I remember meeting him when he served as an officer of the Newtown Exchange Club and I was Senior Class Advisor at Council Rock High School involved with the student of the month. He loved his daughters a great deal and talked fondly about them. I also had fond memories of Wendy and Carolyn as class officers. Please accept my sympathy at this very difficult time. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Dear Mrs Plump and family,
Ray and I just heard about the passing of Mr. Plump. We are so so sorry to hear about your loss. Mr. Plump was a wonderful man and a great guy to work for. He was always so good to my dad (Bob Keebler) and family. Now the two of them can meet up and reminence about old times at Frost Watson.
Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Love, Ray & Christy Phillips

Don came into my life in my mid teens. We shared some of the same college experiences at Bucknell and he gave me valuable advice on that experience. I was a guest at his wedding to Alice and witnessed the growth of his kids from somewhat afar. He gave me a lot of really helpful assistance in building my house in northern Bucks County. He witnessed all of my three weddings and at each gave me heartfelt wishes of good fortune. He was an active participant, a welcoming host and when not hosting an ambassador of goodwill at all of the many family events that occurred over all of those years. Far too numerous to count. He also extended to my parents many good experiences that enriched the last 15 or so years of their lives. Reflecting on my world of experiences with Don, I have concluded that he was at times a fierce competitor in business and sports, he loved the outdoors as so many have said, he was incredibly loyal to his friends, and yet he was a teddy bear to Alice, his children, and extended family. Truly a man to be honored and emulated.

Mr Plump showed love to all he met. He was Bud Pearson's fraternity brother from Bucknell. As dad, Bud was battling brain cancer, Don was there every day. He would sit and chat, kick Bud in the rear end, doing whatever it took. That is what they did for each other. He was a friend until the end, sitting holding his hand. After Dad's death,
he and Alice still loved us three Pearson kids. As funny as that sounds when we are in our 60's .
I talked to him last week to tell him how much I loved him.
He saw me for who I was. He supported me and my siblings through Dad's illness.
He was a God given friend. He will be missed. May God bless and comfort Alice & the entire Plump family. You are mightily blessed to be loved by this man. He cherished you all very much.

Very sorry to hear of Don's passing. The summers during my college years in the early 70's were spent working at Frost Watson lumber. I always appreciated Don giving me the opportunity to work there. Many fond memories. May he Rest In Peace.
