James Long

James (Jim) Harold Long born November 11, 1940 in Arden, Arkansas died March 2, 2020 in Ridgefield, Washington. Jim graduated from Lebanon, Oregon high school and spent his career in the construction field owning his own businesses in Hillsboro and Forest Grove, Oregon. Jim had a passion for gardening, playing keno, visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and spending time with family and friends. Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Anne Long of Ridgefield, Washington, his mother Frances Long Woolard of Lebanon, Oregon, son Steve Long of Portland, Oregon, daughters Kelly (Mike) Hayden of Hillsboro, Oregon, Pattie Hart of Bellevue, Washington and Jill (Neil) Mortenson of Ridgefield, Washington, his sister Sue (Tom) Evans of Azalea, Oregon, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Jim was preceded in death by his father Edward Long of Lebanon, Oregon and sons Terry and Brad Long both of Sacramento, California. A celebration of life will be held May 9, 2020 from 11 am – 2 pm at the Hillsboro, Oregon Elks Lodge where Jim was a life member. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Community Home Health and Hospice (www.chhh.org) in Vancouver, Washington.
