Joseph Fiore Obituary

Published by Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Sep. 7, 2020.
Joseph S Fiore son of (Alberto and Constance) passed away peacefully at his home in Rockland Monday September 7th 2020. Beloved husband of 53 years to Carol (Mulkern) Fiore - Father to Joseph S Fiore Jr and Anthony R Fiore. Joe was born in Somerville and a graduate of Medford High School. Joe was a resident of Rockland for over 50 years. Joe worked at Nissan Baking Company for 39 years as a Salesman and was a member / shop steward of the Teamsters Local 25/ 653 division. Joe was a hard working employee who took pride in his work. Joe developed a special kinship with many of his co-workers and clients during his career. Joe was an avid sports fan who followed all the Boston teams with passion. Joe also had a love for Raynham Park and could be found with friends on a Saturday afternoon enjoying the day. Joe was truly known as the neighborhood Dad creating memories and friendships of a life time while also being there to support a lending hand to anyone in need – Joe had a love for the underdog and everyone could depend on him. Joe always asked how you were doing and the conversation was never about himself - Joe spent a considerable part of his life in hockey rinks all over the state watching/coaching his sons and friends. In jest, Joe will always be remembered by his former players for bringing warm water and smoking cigarette's on the bench. Joe's true passion and life testament was taking care of his family. Joe was a great husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. Joe was truly larger than life and one of a kind. Joe was his own man and walked his own path. He will always be remembered for his generosity and big hearted ways. Joe will be missed by all that knew him. Joe is survived by his wife Carol, son Anthony and daughter in law Michelle. Grandchildren Makenzi, Haiden, Maria, and Ava of Rockland. Brother Albert and Sister in law Ruth of Florida. Joe was predeceased by son Joseph S Jr. of Rockland and sister Conchetta Fiore of Medford. Joe's family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Thursday September 10th 2020 at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland MA from 4:00-7:00 PM. A private Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 11th, 2020 at 9:00 AM in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow the Funeral Service at Holy Family Cemetery. Mrs. Fiore, Tony, Michelle and Family,

My heartfelt sympathy to all of you at this very difficult time. It has been years since I have seen Mr. Fiore, but when I did, I always enjoyed our banter especially at Martin's Bakery. May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.

Sending love and hugs to all of the Fiore family. I have always considered us to be one big family and I am really saddened by Big Joe's passing. I will forever remember some very funny times around the house, in the driveway, on the street or at the rink. I wish I wasn't so far away and that I was able to be there with you during this difficult time. I love you all.
