Mike was a truly dedicated first responder. I will remember him as a car guy and fellow member of the Push Rods of Waltham. He and I shared great times at the Worcester Summer Nationals car shows. I was shocked to find out of his sudden passing. My sincere condolences go out to Karen and family members.

To the family of Mike Quinn,
I am thinking of you at this time and send my prayers to you all. I am sorry to not be able to join you in remembering Mike today. Mike was one of my joys of my job as a Milkman. He always, even after my retirement, went out of his way to speak with me where ever I was, as does all of his family.
Sincerely,
Jonesie (aka Walter Jones)

To Mike's wife, son Michael, and the rest of his family and friends, I offer my sincerest condolences. The news was quite a shock to me and to everyone. Left this world way too early. A shame it is.
Mike was a take charge type of guy and his rise through the ranks is testimony. He "climbed the ladder" literally and figuratively. He was an adept Incident Commander. Knew what he had for resources and knew how to employ them. Firefighter safety was always a priority of his also whether it was during emergency operations or in the stations.
May Mike's family and friends call on some of his strength to get them through this difficult time. Big, long salute to Chief Quinn. Rest in Peace brother.
Mike G. WFD Retired.

To Michael, Tim and all the Quinn family, my deepest sympathy on the sudden, shocking loss of Mike. He was one of the good ones for sure. We joined the Fire Dept. within a few months of each other and became immediate friends. We were both assigned to Squad 6 and our careers closely paralleled each other as we rose through the ranks. Mike was a large presence, had a big heart and lived his life fully to the max. He worked hard, played hard and smiled through it all. He will be deeply missed. Our brother was called home too soon.
Respectfully, Steve Mahoney, Deputy Fire Chief, retired

Mike was a friend and a co worker who loved his family and his job. When I was a new Firefighter Mike was always someone I looked up to and respected. He was aggressive, confident and always willing to give advice or lend a hand. As the years went by I had the privilege of considering Mike a friend. Mike lived life large, from his flashy style in clothes to his love of fast cars to his dedication to the City of Waltham and the profession he loved. But as you got to know him it was his family that made it all work. He was dedicated to his children, his grandchildren, his wife Karen and all his extended family. As short as his life was it he lived it to its fullest. Thanks for everything
God Bless you Brother.

This hit me in the gut more than I thought it could. Too bad time goes by and we go our own ways. Mike and I had some good times off the job where we did not talk about the job, we talked about racing. He taught me a boat load of facts about racing and cars in general. He was very generous along with his wife to me and my son on many race days up in New Hampshire. Those were good times we are now remembering and wishing the Quinn family our best wishes.

To Karen and entire family. I am so sorry to hear about the sudden loss of Mike. Although I haven't seen him in over 10 years, I have many wonderful memories spent with both of you. My first memory was at work when he would leave flowers and gifts on your car when he was "courting" you. He was such a romantic! He won your heart Karen and his love for you has never ceased. Mike was such a fun loving man...he always made me laugh. My heart goes out to you and your entire family. Sending you love⤠Lauren Stevens

Our deepest condolences to the Quinn Family, we are shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's sudden passing. We are glad we were able to spend the day with him at the track last weekend. Mike's presence will be greatly missed at the track and our team will cherish all the great memories, wisdom and laughs we shared. His medical expertise and advice was realized when my husband Les didn't look well after a race and he was deeply concerned. Mike's advice was not taken lightly and thankful for his ability to recognize a health issue. He always had a positive attitude and his pep talks were the best! You were part of our crew. This weekend our team hopes to make you proud. Rest easy our friend

To the entire Quinn family. My parents, Ron & Laura, and the Sullivan family, are so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Like so many, my we got to know Mike and the Quinn family years ago at the football field. We also shared a passion for auto racing. In recent years, Mike could always be found at my brother in-laws race events. Hanging around, working on the racecar and offering his input. We would always find something to laugh about, even if thing's weren't going our way on the racetrack. Mike, your presence at the track and racecar hauler long after the checkered flag flew will be sorely missed. RIP friend & #62 crew member.
