Mr. David Ross was a dear friend. My relationship with the family began with his father when I was very young. David accepted the baton and greatly advanced the business. He would be proud of the current leadership of his wife and daughter in the manner in which they have maintained and expanded this business. Sharon is a worthy successor as President.

David was my comforter when both my parents passed away. I share the grief of his family and I’m sure they know what a positive impact he made on our community. There is a HUGE hole left by Mr David Ross' demise. He was a man of stature and leadership, an icon in our city! The Ross-Clayton Funeral Home Family has always been such a caring, professional institution in the way they conducted their business; no stone was ever left unturned! There are some things in life that one has no control over. My very first association with the Ross family was the death of a great aunt in Clanton, AL. Ross Clayton handled the service. Mr. D. Calloway Ross was one of the kindest men around. When I crossed paths with David he was the carbon copy of his father. We have shared a bond for more than 50 years.
