Whitney Leigh Collings of Lynnfield passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at her home. She was 33 years of age. Born on May 31, 1987 in Boston, Whitney is the beloved daughter of Linda (Houghton) Collings and the late Thomas Collings. Whitney is a beautiful, warm, kind and caring daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend. She will be deeply missed. Ever since Whitney was a little girl she enjoyed being around people and her love for life and boundless energy led her to excel in soccer, cross country running and cheering on her classmates as a cheerleader during her early school years. Whitney loved entertaining, theater and listening to music and she was also an accomplished pianist. Whitney attended Fitchburg State College and Salem State College and focused her studies on business courses with a minor in physics. Whitney helped pay for her education by bartending at various Boston fine dining establishments. Later in life Whitney discovered that her appreciation for others and an innate ability to relate to them and understand their needs enabled her to enjoy a successful career in sales and marketing. Whitney's adventurous spirit and love of people inspired her to embrace travel as a means of meeting others and her favorite destinations included Texas, Las Vegas and Florida especially the Del Ray and Boynton Beach areas. Whitney enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends and her teacup maltese Bacci. Whitney was loved by all who knew of her kindness and compassion towards all and will be missed. Whitney is the dear sister of Devin Thomas Collings. She is the cherished granddaughter of the late Arthur and Lorraine Florentino and Harold and Agnes Collings. Whitney is the devoted niece of Arthur, Mark and Keith Florentino, Mary Merritt and the late Donna Mullett.
