Kathleen D. Kiczek (nee Peto), 63 of Avon Lake peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family after a private, lengthy illness on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was born February 28, 1957 to parents Alex and Donna (nee Schenk) in Cleveland, OH. Kathleen was a graduate of Midpark High School. She was a Special Education Teacher's Aide for the Westlake Schools and a bookkeeper at Kiczek Prosthetic Laboratories. Kathleen was very organized, was a list maker, loved children, dogs, being active, working out, travel and the ocean. Her greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, David; loving children Joseph (Amanda), Catherine and Andrew; dear sisters Elaine Hill and Ellen Jolley ad her mother, Donna. She is preceded in death by her dear father, Alex. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to The Gathering Place 25425 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, OH 44145. I am so, so sorry to hear about the loss of Kathy. I met Kathy as a substitute teacher at Lee Burneson Middle School. Kathy was kind, caring and funny. We became friends instantly. Kathy was so proud of her kids. I will miss Kathy dearly. Prayers go out to Kathy and her family. Mary Jo Stanton

I am in state of shock. Kathy was the image of family, joy, healthiness. When we moved into Settlers Reserve, Kathy and Catherine were our first visitors and our newborn, Billy's first sitter. They were the nicest folk and my heart hurts for David, Catherine, Joe and Andy.

Kathy was an amazing addition to my Special Education class, for many years. She was kind and caring to all of our special needs students. She NEVER said no' to a schedule change, additional responsibility, or extra work! Kathy was very, very LOYAL, to me and all of the special education students and staff. She was an invaluable member of our Lee Burneson staff. Kathy dearly loved her family and delighted in sharing all of their accomplishments. Sending love to you all. Your mom and wife was a lovely person, who will always have a special place in my heart. Good thoughts.
