Darla (nee Bruner) Crabtree

Darla Crabtree (nee Bruner), 64 and a resident of Lorain, has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Friday, January 15, 2021 at Mercy Regional Health Center. She was born September 10, 1956. Darla was employed as the Activity Director at Ohio Extended Care Community and retired at Lake Pointe as an STNA. She was a member of Divine Destiny Christian Fellowship. Darla enjoyed reading, playing bingo, lottery tickets, watching her game shows and most of all spending time with her husband, children, all her grandchildren and friends at the camp ground. Mrs. Crabtree is survived by her husband of 41 years, Roger Crabtree; children, Misty (Ismael) Acevedo of Elyria, April (Chris) Crabtree Sexton of Sevierville, Tennessee, Rudy (Alyssia) Martinez of Elyria; grandchildren, Destiny, Ashley, Brooklyn, and Abigail Acevedo, Christopher, Tyler, and Anthony Sexton, and Evalise Martinez; siblings, Debbie (Bob) Godby of Somerset, Kentucky, Denise (Mike) Rodgers of Liberty, Kentucky, Dana Mejean of Freetown, Indiana, Rachel Anderson of Columbus, Indiana, and Darrell (Vickie) Bruner of Freetown, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Wilson and father, Tinch Bruner; son, Shawn Bruner. A visitation will be 4-7pm, Friday, January 29 at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria. Burial will be at a later date at the Friendship Baptist Church in Crab Orchard, Kentucky. www.buschcares.com
