Jerry Ng

Jerry Ng, 67, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ went home to be the LORD on Monday, February 15, 2021, after a battle with COVID-19. Born on November 13, 1953 in Hong Kong, China, Jerry was the son of the late Chun Shee Ng and Sun Ho Ng. He was the loving husband of Jean Rivera-Ng. Jerry immigrated to the United States in 1964 and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He was a graduate of Brooklyn College before eventually moving to New Jersey to begin a career in the casino industry. Jerry was employed at Resorts Casino from 1983-1990 before transferring to the Taj Mahal Casino where he worked from its opening in 1990 until the casino closed its doors in 2016. Jerry transitioned to National Harbor Maryland as a floor supervisor from 2016-2018 before taking on his most recent role as a dual supervisor at Ocean Casino. Jerry achieved a 3rd degree black belt in karate, and was proudly featured in the Kung Fu movie "Death Promise." He was an avid bowler, and found enjoyment in wagering on simulcast horse racing. He attended One Hope Church in Absecon with his family. Jerry was completely devoted to his family and was the happiest when they were all together. Jerry will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by his wife; Jean Rivera-Ng, sons; Derick (Amanda), Alex (Airize) Ng, Cody (Lamthy) Ng, grandchildren; Chloe and Connor Tan, brothers; Robert "Karyiu" (Jenny) Ng, Richard Ng, sisters: Kim Ng, Jeanie (Bill Ploski) Ng, nephews/nieces; Arthur Ng, Vivian (Tim Ho) Ng, Kristina (Eric Chen) Ng, Brandon Ng, Eric Ng, grandnephews/nieces; Nyla, Arlilee, Gavin, Jasmyn and Cadence. Extended family; Janet Lock, Cecile Lock, Steven Lock, Kevin Lock, Jocelyn (Tony) Foresta, Nicole Foresta, Casey Foresta, and Sandy Lawrence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral home visitations on Sunday, February 21, 2021, from 5:00pm-8:00pm, and again on Monday, February 22, 2021, from 9:00am-11:00am at Jeffries and Keates Funeral Home, 228 Infield Ave, Northfield, NJ 08225. A funeral service will be held immediately following on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 11:00am at Jeffries and Keates Funeral Home.
