Stevie was my best friend, the love of my life, and my rock. We dated for over 4 years, of course, with our ups and downs. Our relationship was a pure blessing from God!
Stevie was always wanting to please me, with the simplest of gifts, like flowers and cards and a lot of times with grand gifts, like jewelry. He was also always showering me with his love.
Stevie loved to do many different things throughout his life. He absolutely loved to go to WinStar. He would always be the big winner, while I was losing all of my money, but he always made it fun! He also liked golfing. On many occasion, he would golf with his friend, Don and with his friends from the McRats. He also loved to go deer hunting. The last time he went hunting was with his brother, Alan. They had a grand time!
Stevie surely loved his family. Even though he didn't get to see his daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, or grandson but a few times this last year, he still remembered to bless them on special occasions. He would do anything for his two daughters, and he did. He also always talked so highly of his brothers and sister. They were very special to him.
I was blessed in that I got to be with Stevie on some days while he was in the hospital. I wasn't allowed to be there all the time, but we kept in contact through texts. The last three days that I spent with Stevie were the most precious moments that I've ever experienced in my life. I got to pray and read scripture to him. I know that he heard me speaking to him throughout the last day, because he shook his head when I told him for the last time that I loved him with all my heart.
Stevie is now with his mother and father, but above all he is with his Lord. He is free from any kind of hurt or pain. I know he's looking down on us!
I love you with all my heart,
Robyn

I worked for GTSW/GTE/Verizon for 45 years and during that time in the 1990's and 2000's I worked with Steve on numerous projects. He was always easy to work with and very upbeat.

Steven was one of my most beloved cousins on my mother's side of the family. Steve's mother and my mother were sisters (two of ten children). Steven loved his family and especially his aunt "Marcia". We had so much fun as kids playing at Aunt Margaret's home growing up. I was in Virginia, and we took trips almost every year to San Angelo , Texas to visit. As we were older, Steve would take me to the most extravagant restaurants in McKenney Texas. I will never forget the last golfing trip!! We laughed the whole time, as I was the worst golfer Steve had evere seen. I will always hold a special place in my heart for my dear cousin Steven, he was a very loving, caring and kind person. I will miss him deeply.

Steve, my old Santa Rita Elementary buddy. May you rest in peace, and may God comfort the hearts of those you've left behind.
