Robert "Bob" Burger

Burger 1938~2021 Robert C Burger "Bob", 82 of Essington PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Taylor Hospital. He was born in Upper Darby, PA to the late Walter and Margaret (nee Duncan) Burger Bob worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia for 28 years as an Electronics Technician. He also founded Robert C. Burger Jewelers in Norwood in 1985. When Bob was younger he worked at WFIL with his father who was the chief engineer. Bob was in the National Guard Reserve and was also an active member of the Lions Club for many years. He enjoyed camping and boating. He had a love for bluegrass music and played various instruments, but his true passion was playing the banjo. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years Barbara J.(nee Clay) ;who was the love of his life; his cherished son Robert C. Jr., (Dorothy) his dear brothers, Bill and Walter (Pearl) Burger. Survived by his cherished children Danny (Marianne), Bryan (Tracy), Ron (Angelina). Grandfather to his 4 adoring grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Matthew and Victoria,; great- grandfather to Taegan and Cullen; also his many caring nieces and nephews.
