Ralph B. McNeil Jr.

Ralph B. McNeil, Jr. was born on October 22, 1958 at Middlesex Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ to loving parents, Ralph B. McNeil Sr and Mary Jane McNeil. Ralph entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 29, 2021. He was affectionately called "Ralphie" by all of his family and neighborhood friends. He loved telling stories of his experiences to whomever wanted to listen, but he also had a kind heart and a shoulder to cry on whenever needed. Ralph was always helping and acknowledging others while giving his best. Ralph loved life and found it easy to "forgive and forget" and "turn the other cheek". He found enjoyment in having a good time. Ralph's favorite hobbies included building model cars, cooking, riding his bike, and listening to his music. Ralph graduated from Piscataway Technical School. Following the path of his father and became a member of Holmes Marshall Fire Company in Piscataway NJ, at the age of sixteen. Ralph loved the dedication and responsibility of being a firefighter and to save lives. He aspired to improve his skills and knowledge to become a First Lieutenant. Last year Ralph made the decision to rededicate his life back to the Lord Jesus Christ with the help of his Pastor Rev. Ronald L Owens of New Hope Baptist Church of Metuchen NJ. Ralph loved the Lord, Bible study and his newly found friends at the church. Ralph was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary Jane McNeili and Ralph B McNeil Sr. and also his step-brother, Aaron Baskett. He leaves to cherish his memory, Step-mother Roberta Douglas of VIrginia, Sister Linda McNeil of New Brunswick, NJ, Step-sister JaNean Baskett-Martin (Willie) of South Carolina, and Brother Rico Baskett of Colorado. Extended relatives Aunt Joan McNeil of North Carolina, Aunt Rose Daye of Plainfield, NJ, Marsha Burwell of Pennsylvania, and Niece JaNelle Baskett, Nephew Brandon Baskett (Nicole), and great niece Jyelle Baskett, and a host of loving cousins and friends. Acknowledgement The McNeil family would like to express their deepest appreciation to everyone who came out to celebrate his life. The words of comfort and prayers are deeply appreciated by the family. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 12th, 11:00 am, at Macedonia O.F.W. Baptist Church, 372 Highland Avenue, Piscataway. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am 11:00 am. Committal Service will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
