Ed was my guitar teacher. I'm so sorry for his friends & family's loss. Ed & I liked the same guitarists so some how that 1 month turned into 3. He was amazing to me & I'm so thankful for his teaching. Rest in peace my friend.

I doubt a day goes by without Ed crossing my mind. A real character, and a true friend. Without question he is very much missed by me and many, many others.

Ed was my guitar teacher starting around 1974. Then he was my friend and stayed my friend for 45+ years. He was, to me, like family. An older brother, maybe. Or just a dear friend. I can't decide. What I do know is that he seemed like a sort of permanent fixture of my life, immutable. Ed was Ed and has always been and will always be. It's rare to find someone that, after a separation of years and distance, remains the honest, forthcoming and intrinsically good person that you met all those years ago. I always felt, even though my brain knew better, that he would never be gone. And I suppose he's not. He lives on in my heart. Which, for me, is a good place to have him if I can't appreciate him any more in the real world. So long, pal, I'm already missing you terribly.

Anyone acquainted with Ed will agree that he was an exceptionally unique and generous individual. We were shocked and greatly saddened at the news of his passing, and the world will be a very different place without him. Still, there is a great joy in the fact that the spirit and essence that was Ed will forever keep him alive and well in our thoughts. He was one of those rare individuals who stood out among others, and he will be happily remembered by everyone who ever knew him.
Our very best wishes to Elaine and Charles during this difficult time.
God rest his soul.

I met Ed over 17 years ago. He was my guitar teacher but quickly turned to a friend and some times my therapist. After serval years of lessons we still stayed in touch. After I stared working at a local grocery store I was surprised to see Ed! It was one of his regular stops. It’s was always the highlight of any day seeing him. The last time I saw him was a couple months ago. He greeted me with a big hug and we chatted for bit. I always looked for him especially on bad days he would some how just show up like he knew I needed a friend.
I will miss you and I will never forget not only the music but the life lessons you have taught me.

Elaine,

Your brother was special and although we separated, he remained a dear friend. My condolences to your family. Some people just stay alive and happy in our memories forever. Eddy is one of a kind. We will all miss him.

Dear Elaine and Chuck.

I am so sorry about the passing of Ed

I became a friend of his in the early 80s when I was working with a friend of his.

He was one of a kind. He truly made a difference.
