Daniel J. Devlin

Daniel J. Devlin, 86 a longtime resident of Wakefield died Wednesday November 17, at Beverly Hospital. Born in Charlestown, July 20, 1935 he was the son of the late James and Mary (McCorriston) Devlin. Dan was raised in Charlestown and graduated from Cathedral High School, attended Northeastern University and served in the Navy. Dan was always active with various organizations in Wakefield including the Hockey Association, Little League, and the Recreation Department. He enjoyed boating, fishing and playing hockey which he was able to do past the age of 75. Dan was the beloved husband of the late Adell C. (Hamlin) Devlin. He was the loving father of Steven Devlin and wife Susan, Tim Devlin, Patrick Devlin and wife Michele all of Wakefield and the late Michael Devlin and his late wife Lisa. Brother of the late James and Edward Devlin and Mary Fales. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Eric, Chris, Rachel, Sean, Megan and Leah and 5 great grandchildren Dylan, Zachary, Eli, Carrina and Jake. Funeral service will be private.
