Fred "Pops" Hutchison

Fred "Pops" Hutchison, 88, of Milledgeville, died on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Rock River Hospice Home in Sterling. Pops was born on July 12, 1933 in Milledgeville, the son of Frank and Mabel (Shilling) Hutchison Sr. He married Darlene Smith on July 12, 1951 in Milledgeville. She predeceased him on February 7, 2003. Pops was a lifelong member of Milledgeville Brethren Church. Survivors include two sons, David (Mary) Hutchison, and Ray Hutchison, all of Milledgeville; five grandchildren; Kelcy (Tracy) Hutchison, Kasey Hutchison, both of Milledgeville, Justin (Melinda) Hutchison of Sterling, Jason (Beth) Hutchison of Moline, Rick (Jessica) Hutchison of Milledgeville; ten great grandchildren, Kailyn, Rowen, Anna, Kyle, Jax, Nolan, Evan, Kendra, Alexa, Elyssa; six nieces and nephews, Chuck (Karen) Hutchison, Jayne Hutchison, Bob (Dacia) Hutchison, Marcel (Liz) Hutchison, Dominique (Alan) Beck, and Malynda Last; several great nieces and nephews; and special fishing buddy and lifelong school friend, Russell Schryver. Pops was preceded in death by his parents; wife Darlene; two brothers, Frank and Richard Hutchison; two great grandchildren, Liam and Grace; and daughter-in-law, Holly Eastabrooks Hutchison. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30am on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Milledgeville Brethren Church, 521 N. Main Ave, Milledgeville. Funeral service will follow at 11:30am with Reverend Jim Black officiating. Burial will conclude at South Elkhorn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Milledgeville Brethren Church or the Carroll County Fair Association. Special thanks to Rock River Hospice and Home for their exceptional care.
