Travis Jacobs Obituary

Travis Jacobs, age 25, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Travis was a gentle soul who was caring and loving and was the leader of his brothers as he served as their protector. His family was his top priority. His goal was to make others smile and served many as mentor and role model. He was a calm gentle voice of reason that made it easy for others to fall in love with him quickly. He was loved and will be missed. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Christine Aalderink; and his grandfather, Chip Jacobs. He is survived by his mother, Amy and Michael Gutierrez; father, Dewey and Amy Jacobs; brothers, Brandon Jacobs, Dylan Jacobs, and Logan Jacobs; stepsiblings, Karissa Fusco, Josh Fusco, Adriana Trevino, Keighan Trevino; grandparents, Scott and Chriss Aalderink; grandparents, Linda and Dan Furbush; good friend, Caleb Cole; and extended family and friends. Memorial services will be at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland, MI 49423 followed by a stand-up reception. Memorial contributions may be given in Travis' honor to Compassionate Heart. www.langelandsterenberg.com

I was shocked and saddened to hear and offer my sincerest condolences to all family and friends. I knew Travis from the MECA gym. I never had Travis for a trainer, but he also trained by example, friendly greetings, and occasional shouts of encouragement.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I'm a new friend of Travis'. He was my inspiration to get a membership at MECA. Although I've only known him for a short time, his smile, enthusiasm, and caring disposition was something to look forward to whenever I saw him at the gym. My heart goes out to his family. Travis was my trainer for the last several months. We became great friends over the time I spent with him. He was the kindest, most patient and loving person. God blessed your family with one of the wonderful people I have ever met. It will never be the same without him but I guess his work on this earth is complete. Rest in heaven my dear friend.
