Gloria Theresa Boucher (Matte), a resident of Nashua, NH and former resident of Lowell, MA, died on December 28, 2021 at the Courville of Nashua. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry (Hank) Boucher, who died in 1993. She was born in Lowell, MA, on a date she would rather not disclose (from very specific instructions), and was a daughter of the late Raoul and Irene Matte (Lanoue).  From a very young age, Gloria was cared for by Evelyn Marie Matte, her beloved aunt. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her son, Kenneth Boucher and his wife Janet Boucher (Aubin) of South Burlington, VT.  Granddaughter Jennifer Boucher Meyer and husband Timothy Meyer, great grandsons Cole and Henry Meyer of South Burlington, VT.  Granddaughter Alyson Romot (Boucher) and husband John Romot, great granddaughters Gloria and Emma Romot.  Sister-in-law, Doris Wideback (Boucher) of Nashua, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Hank) and longtime companion, Rene Beauregard. Gloria wrote her own obituary and we all had a good laugh about what she wrote. She did not want you to know her age, but she did want you to know she loved to dance, do cutwork and needlepoint. Gloria was a vibrant and loving woman with a larger than life presence, no filter, and a big heart. Her smile was so contagious you could feel it hit your soul. Her laugh had a high pitch tone no one could match or forget. Gloria went by Glo to many friends. She was lovingly called Nana by Jenny and Aly. Ken called her Ma. Jan called her Mother of Tomorrow. And we all called her feisty, stubborn and loving.  She loved to shop, cook for loved ones, and host a gathering.  Family was life, but socializing was Nana's specialty. She had a lot of friends. Gloria was always the life of the party. Mix her with Rene's boisterous voice and jokes and they were a duo that could get any crowd rolling. Gloria never felt old. She didn't appreciate being reminded of her age because she never felt it. She'd always tell us she felt great, "never better!" We encouraged her to play bingo at the Courville of Nashua, but she scoffed at the idea every time because that game was for old people. Gloria was always put together with hair and makeup. Her nails were real,  perfectly shaped, and always painted. She had flashy jewelry and a wardrobe to match.  She spent the last few years of her life at the Courville of Nashua where her beloved Aunt Evelyn once lived as well. The nurses shared memories of Nana with us and it was clear she brought them a lot of joy. Gloria crossed over to heaven with her two granddaughters fast asleep by her side. She made it very clear that this was her choice. Gloria will be missed dearly. She's returned to the loving arms of two of the most amazing men we have ever known - Henry Boucher and Rene Beauregard.  We love you Gloria, Nana, Ma, Mother of Tomorrow.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gloria's Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, July 22nd 2022 at 9:30am at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 777 West Hollis St. Nashua, NH followed by her burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. Aunt Gloria ALWAYS made us laugh. She was one of a kind, most wonderful woman. Me and my siblings can't help but laugh and smile when we talk about her. And she was blessed with the most beloved family and joyous life. We will truly miss her! Love to all. Linda and Don
