Robert J. Porter

Robert J. Porter passed away on January 13,2022 at the age of 99. Born on April 17, 1922 in Norristown, PA to the late Robert and Rhea (nee Horning) Porter. Robert was the beloved husband of Joan; loving father of Lynn (Daryl) Umble, Cindy Hoffman, and Robert (Andrea). Robert fought valiantly during World War 2 until most Honorably discharged from the United States Army. Robert was a Lifetime Member of both the V.F.W. Trappe PA Post 7155, and Optimist International Distinguished and Outstanding Lt. Gov. Lower Providence. Robert was a member of the PA State Police Frontier Lodge #37, PA Sheriffs Association, and American Society of Highways Engineers. Robert also was a Charter Member for the WW2 D-Day Museum in New Orleans, and was a Founding Member of the U.S. Army Museum of Washington D.C. Relatives and friends are invited to Robert's Life Celebration on Friday January 21, 2022 10AM at Riverside Cemetery 200 S Montgomery Ave, West Norriton, PA 19403.
