I remember training you for FM training at Fort Meade. We ended up going off subject and ended up talking about how we missed Mexican food and our families. You told me your wife was pregnant and expecting soon and we talked about our son’s soon to be birthdays. It was so heartwarming when you had brought your brand new baby by to come see me. You were a proud new father and it radiated from you. You were like a little brother to me and I was so heartbroken hearing of your passing. My condolences to your family. May you rest easy brother.

We shipped out together from LA MEPS to Basic Military Training together, and sat next to each other on the plane. I remember he was wearing a white tshirt, was super nervous and slept almost the whole plane ride! Lol once he woke up we both took photos of the clouds. In basic he was meek, quiet, funny, and helpful and parting ways for tech school was bittersweet. You’ll be missed Estrada, much love rest his soul, Father ♥

Matthew was my first born and the day Teresia gave birth to him I was so scared but the minute I held him I fell so in love with him and I knew I had to change and give him my all! From a baby he was so good he would sleep so much and I always tried waking him up just see his eyes and talk to him! We ended up having six more children and I always told Matthew your my leader for your brothers and sisters and he did a really good job of doing that!! Mijo I’m always going to miss and love you I waited a long time for you to get back from deployment just to hang out with you and talk to you in person to tell you to your face how proud I am of you and I wanted to do family stuff together! My heart is broken over your passing but I believe I’ll be with you again I promise you that! I love you Son I’m so proud of you. I want to say also to all that write on this and also came to show your love for my son thank you so much it means the world to me god bless I love you all!

My cousin Matthew was a beautiful young man. I am so proud of what he had accomplished in such a short life. His heart was strong, he was a good father and his memory will never he forgotten. May your soul transition peacefully, Mijo. You are loved.

I went to Basic Training with Matthew, he was very kind and was one the first person to help me there. He had such great humor and zeal for new things. I will miss him very much. He was a great friend, wingmen, airman.

I was stationed with SSgt Estrada at Ft Meade from 2018 to 2020. He was an Excellent Airman, and a great person. Always first to lend a hand and a joke! He was an outstanding NCO and always put others first. He was my "Tennis Buddy" during the summer of 2020 and we played many a great games! He usually won, but never rubbed it in! We played one last game before he left for a year long deployment to Saudi Arabia. It was the last time we would see each other. He was excited for the future, for him and his family and was in good spirits. We said our goodbyes and wished each other all the best. I only knew Matthew for a short time but we were brothers in arms and it was a pleasure to serve alongside him. I am thankful for the few moments that we got to share together. My sincerest condolences to his family, friends and A heartfelt prayer for his wife and young son. Your Husband and Father was a good man and I know is missed dearly. RIP Estrada. Air Power!

Matthew was the best big brother one could’ve asked for. He was always the one laughing and making jokes (even if they weren’t that funny). I was so proud of him for everything he accomplished in his short time here. I wish he would’ve gotten more years but I’m thankful for the memories I made with him along the way. I love and will miss you forever Matthew.
