Michael T. Anderson

Michael T. Anderson, 61, died Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Susan (Frazier) Anderson. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in South Boston, attended St. Mary's High School in Cambridge and was a graduate of Revere High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he returned home and worked for Bob's Discount Furniture and later at Grossmans, for several years. He loved riding his Victory Motorcycle through the mountains of New Hampshire and decided to move there, spending over 25 years as a resident. While in New Hampshire, he worked for Fred Fuller Fuel delivering oil and found his passion for computers. He took a job with the Ericsson Company, a company he would be with for many years. Michael worked in New Hampshire for several years before his company moved him to Santa Cruz, CA, where he lived for over 10 years. He retired 3 years ago. Several months ago, he moved back to the Boston Area to be closer to family and settled in Everett. He was a fan of Science Fiction, the New England Patriots, the Wizard of Oz, music, playing his guitar and spending time by the ocean. Michael was known for his generosity, giving spirit and big heart; helping the needy, homeless and downtrodden in both big and small ways, every day. Michael is survived by his mother Diana (Anderson) Perry of Stoughton, his brother Paul E. Perry of Canton and his close friends Thomas and Janet Coleman of Everett. He was predeceased by his sister Diana E. Perry and his father Thomas Coleman. Michael was the nephew of Maureen Van Aiken of Wareham and the late Robert and Patricia Anderson. He also leaves his cousins, Robert Anderson, Jr, of Stoughton and Theodore Anderson of Weymouth. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11:30 AM followed by burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne with Military Honors at 1:15 PM.
