Mr. Rapotec "Lovie" as my parents referred to him, was such a gentle soul. I will miss him, but he is with his maker & my Parent's, Jim & Janet Shugar. His wife, Mrs. Thelma Rapotec, will always be in my heart & thoughts. You'll be strong & please keep in touch with me.

I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He worked with my dad, Robert Brinegar, in Oakland, MD, over 55 years ago.My mom, Betty, kept in touch with Joe and Thelma ever since (even after my dad passed). I remember both from my childhood. I will never forget the graduation card he sent to my daughter. She expressed her love of birds and he was so excited to share that birds (and chickens) were living examples of dinosaurs. I loved that he typed his letters on an old typewriter- sometimes it looked like it was written in code because there were so many typos. But, it was easier to read than his handwriting. I appreciate all the wonderful memories he has given my family. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Joe the wonderful memories all of us having fun in Browntown Avella Pa with all the sisters and families. All the great chats and going to the 300 Club events dancing laughing. Our wonderful phone calls and the amazing letters you would send me. Joe was a brilliant man, a great person, doctor and a great family man. God Bless Thelma in this time Joe on his way to heaven. Alma and I cherished and adored Joe!
