I was so sorry to learn of Daniel's passing. I didn't know Daniel well nor did I know him for a long time. I signed Daniel up for his membership to the JCC. He never missed a chance to come into my office to say hello and talk with me. We kinda had a bond as I too had lung cancer. I always had words of encourage for him and he so appreciated, or I felt that he did, our conversations. Please know that Dan was apart of the JCC family, and if there is anything we can do to ease your pain, please contact me.

A long time ago Dan and I played baseball for the "Pittsburg Pirates" in the Waltham Little League and Pony League. I didn't know that Dan went on to play with the major league Pirates too. A bunch of us played lots of baseball behind the old high school across the street from your house. Dan was one of the few guys who could hit a ball on to the gym roof. An Irish toast to Dan: Sure that you were in Heaven a half hour before the devil knew you were dead.
God bless,

Danny and the Harvey's were our neighbors when I was growing up. Our fathers worked together at Hood's milk and our parents socialized for years together. Danny was always the neighborhood guy you looked up to because of his personality and athletic skills. I can still picture him prancing down Liberty St. like he was walking on air. We socialized many times together as I got older. Danny never got older looking, he always looked 25 and always acted 25, if you know what I mean!! From our days at the Trough and days in North Conway I will miss his smile, his laugh and his personality. Rest In Peace my friend and it's a sure Bet you are in heaven! The McQuiiggan family, neighbors and long time friends.

Elaine....I know you will all miss this beautiful soul. I enjoyed getting to know him some through this beautiful tribute - obituary. He appeared to live a full and enjoyable life doing things he was passionate about. That's a great life.....
I wish I could have known him in person. Thanks for sharing your sweet brother with us all.... May he rest in peace....and may God give you all grace and thanksgiving for his life. Love you.... Kay S. Dallas, Tx.
