Mrs. Doris H Pacholok

Doris H Pacholok of Cranford NJ passed away on December 12th, 2022, ten days shy of her 92nd birthday. Born in Passaic, NJ on 12/22/30, Doris had two older sisters, Eve Rosolowsky and Mary Kawensky. Doris graduated from Jersey City State Teachers College with a BS in Education. She taught the primary grades in numerous inner city public schools. She delighted in making a difference in the lives of these children. She was active in local clubs including the Cranford Village Improvement Association (VIA) and the Floraphile Garden Club. One of her many passions was American History, especially World War II and British History specifically Winston Churchill. She was an avid reader. She and her husband Bohdan Pacholok (deceased 3/8/10) had a long happy marriage of 56 years. She leaves behind her daughter Jane Battle (grandchildren Kate and Kirby), son in law Tim Battle, predeceased by her son Stephen Pacholok (grandchildren Kendra, David, Michael and Hannah). Her beautiful grandchildren and their accomplishments were her most favorite topics, as well as her love of her nieces and nephews, Myra, Mark, Donna, Joseph, Marianne and Alice. Her many friends are too numerous to mention but they know how much she loved and cared about them. We feel comforted knowing she is now with her beloved husband Bohdan and son Stephen. Doris funeral services will begin at 9:30AM Saturday December 17, 2022 from the Gray Memorial Funeral Home, 12 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ. The funeral liturgy for Doris will follow at 11:00 AM at Saint Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Memorial Church, 280 Main Street, South Bound Brook NJ.
