Lynda South Obituary
Lynda Sue (Ford) South, 79, of New Castle, passed away, December 31, 2025, at Henry Community Health.
She is survived by her son, James (Monique) South; her grandchildren, Blake Whitehead, Jonathan Catron, Dalton South, Charity South, and Kaci (James) Pate; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Ford and Robert (Kathy) Ford, and a sister, Vicki York.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Sproles Family Funeral Home.
Friends may call from noon until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Sproles family and staff are honored to serve the family of Lynda Sue (Ford) South.

I went to high school with Linda and then she got married and had Jimmy we stayed in contact for a few years because her brother Robert and I graduated Chrysler high school together. I really liked her. She was very unique. She was a very good housekeeper and she knew how to love people. She was a very shining bright star even when she was a young teen I will always remember her young and I will always remember what a great friend she was.

My sincere condolences to the family. She was my mother's, Velma Thompson, best friend. They used live across the street from each other when we were all kids. At the time she had Sonya and Little Jimmy, I think they called him "Bubby" back then. She crossed my mind last week and I was going to call her. Now I wish I had. Prayers for peace and comfort for the family.
