December 20, 2011 "I had the great good fortune of working with Russ as a fellow instructor at Famous Artists Schools in the late 1950's. Russ's brilliant first career as an artist-illustrator for Time and Sports Illustrated Magazines had diminished. In the hall outside our offices I listened to Russ's extraordinary, concise and poetic coffee break words and observations about everything.
