In West Texas" - Joe DeHoyos
May 17, 2020 "Sir, As a Veteran myself I have e great admiration for anyone that puts on our Nations uniform. As a White Veteran My Admiration for you and other Black Americans runs So much Deeper.
I have taught My Son's and Grandchildren that Men such as yourself sacrificed in other areas as well. You were willing to Fight and if necessary Die for The Ideals of the Declaration of Independence that said ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL , Yet at that time that wasn't so in our Nation. Black Men who were Awarded The Congressional Medal of Honor would come Home after the War and be made to ride at the Back of the Bus, Be denied entrance at restuarant and so forth.
I am NOT a Democrat or a Liberal, I am a God Fearing Christian FIRST with Jesus Christ as My Personalord and Savior and a Proud Conservative afterwards.
From My Heart and Soul You Are not nor ever have been an African American nor a Black American.
You are instead An American, A Man and one of My Heroes. God Bless you Sir as He Did All the rest of The United States of America With Your Life.
" - Jerry Meek (Ashland, VA)
January 24, 2020 "May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow."
