April 09, 2021 "Met Phil when I was 6 at my first Braves game. He was so gracious, he gave me a baseball and personally signed it to me. Then told me to go to the dugout to take a picture. Made me a fan for life. Had the opportunity to meet him several times with my children. He even signed my son’s glove the day he pitched in an all star tournament. The day he passed, my son called and said “ Mom, your hero passed.” He was and my heartfelt condolences to his family. " - Alison Pierce (Russellville, AL)
