"It was over a month ago, but it still feels like yesterday . I only saw you cry once, after watching Godfather, our first date was to watch "Honey I Shrunk The Kids", at the $1 show in Cerritos, we'd skip work and hang out at Venus Beach or at the La Puente theater sneaking from movie to movie.
I gave you your first Bible and you gave me your first unedited book.
We would discuss the characters and their personalities. You asked me to marry you twice. I lost the ring.
There is so much more you had to share with the world! I still can't believe you are gone!
My heart goes out to your family. I miss and love you!"

"Eric Jerome Dickey,
Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. You will be truly missed. Your books helped to take us away from our own lives and brought us laughter and joy. I hope you Rest In Peace. Much love "

"So many years ago as you sat on the back steps over on Degnan Blvd with your beautiful smile, and had conversations with us, I had no idea of the magnitude in which you would blow up as an author. You have brought so much to the literary world. Thank you so much for your awsome stories. I have read everyone of your books and totally enjoyed them! R.I.P. Eric J. Dickey condolences to his family "
